First Christmas!

Kaelyn celebrated her first christmas in Cloverdale with Grandpa and Grammie Lile.  We had a great visit with lots of trips to the park to ride the swings.  Kaelyn turns 1, yes ONE YEAR OLD, in a week, so we started the celebration in Cali.  The celebrating continued with another Xmas and pre-birthday back in Portland.   Her real birthday party will be coming up in a couple weeks....more pics to come!

Movin and Groovin

Kaelyn is now a very active little girl.  Once she learned to crawl, we took her to a baby play gym which she loves.  I only got a picture but I'll have to get a video next time.  Here is a picture and video of our movin and groovin little girl...

Grammie & Grandpa Lile Came to Visit!

Grammie and Grandpa came to visit and we sure were busy.  We went to a pumpkin patch, spent a night at the coast, hiked to Drift Creek Falls, toured downtown, ate at delicious restaurants including the Leineweber Inn, and the high light of course, Halloween.  Kaelyn had a very social first Halloween and spent most of the day in her ladybug costume.  We started the day off with story-time at the local library where all the all babies came dressed in costume, including cousin Alice.  Then we got to visit with cousin Nicole and at the end of the day Finley came to play.  Whew, what a busy, but wonderful time!

Fall Colors

Summer is over and Fall is officially in full swing. We have been enjoying the sunny days with hikes and day trips. Below are photos from a hike in Forest Park, Portland, and a day trip along the Gorge to Hood River. In Hood River we ate at the Full Sail Brewery, yum, and took the scenic "Fruit Loop" drive and stopped at a pumpkin patch, Kaelyn's first pumpkin patch. The drive along the Gorge was beautiful, and we stopped to feed Kaelyn at Multnomah Falls. Gene and Polly are coming to visit next week, and I think they're bring more sunny weather, so we'll be going on more adventures. Stay tuned!

I turned around from my computer, and Kaelyn was on her back playing under this blanket, smiling and laughing. So I pulled out my camera and caught it on video. Look for her two new front teeth.
